Hannah Lamm
Violin (Violin B)
Hannah Lamm is a native of Northern Illinois, having grown up in Freeport and studied violin with Rachel Handlin. She continued her education at Northern Illinois University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts-Music degree (studying violin with Ann Montzka-Smelser) and Master of Music Performance in viola (studying with Anthony Devroye and the Avalon String Quartet.) She performs regularly with the Dubuque and Rockford Symphony Orchestras, and formerly with Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Chicago, Kishwaukee Symphony, and other area orchestras. As a teacher, she has taught at Rockford Music Academy, Viva Performing Arts School, and the NIU Community School of the Arts. She received Suzuki teacher training at the Chicago Suzuki Institute, though her biggest education as a teacher has come from homeschooling and raising her four children with her husband, violinist and teacher Brandon Lamm.
