Andrew J. Mertzenich is a prominent attorney based in Rockford, Illinois. He is the founder and managing attorney of The Law Office of Andrew J. Mertzenich, which focuses on various legal areas, including estate planning, bankruptcy, appellate litigation, and real estate transactions. In addition to his legal and civic activities, Andrew is also a passionate musician, serving as Director of Traditional Music at Westminster Presbyterian Church and Organist at Court Street United Methodist Church in Rockford. His teachers include Steven Wente, Dmus and Gregory Gyllsdorff MFA. He gives regular recitals, and has been a featured guest artist of the Rockford Symphony Orchestra. He is actively involved in the local music scene and volunteers with the Land of Lincoln Theatre Organ Society where he is featured regularly on the Grande Barton Theatre Organ in the Coronado Performing Arts Center. Finally, Andrew is a self-taught music conductor, having conducted the Christmas Eve service at Westminster Presbyterian Church (featuring over 30 local musicians) and serving as interim artistic director of the Ecumenical Community Handbell Organization (ECHO) which features the most advanced handbell ringers in the Rockford area.
He lives in Belvidere with his husband, Cody, and their cat, Jeffrey.
